Another little thank you for the little drama and some hurt/comfort~

I wonder... which version of Lamento did you play? The original Japanese version? The English version? I heard the latter's translation is pretty weird.

Me? I played the Mandarin version. The Chinese are really dedicated with the translations, and the ones they provide are of top quality. :3 But since I'm more of an English reader, I set out to find English fanfics of Lamento. S'hard to find one!

Hello again. Thank you for reading. :)

The date doesn't reflect it because I moved my fanfics to this journal, but this fic actually got written sometime in... 2007, I think? 2008? So there were no translations back then (iirc, there's still no complete English translation out yet). I pretty much worked with what I could glean of the story from Japanese, and the intense atmosphere and feelings of the game. That's probably why there are so few fanfics of the game around; details of its story are hard to come by for anyone who isn't versed in the language.

Not at all, thank you for writing! X3

I find it amazing on how much you'd gathered. Do you know Japanese? Or do you have a translator? o.o A pity the fanbase for Lamento is small as compared to Togainu no Chi, but I guess that's probably because TnG has an anime and manga while Lamento doesn't. =

Neither, I'm afraid. I don't know Japanese, and I don't have a translator. I went with the basics of the plot that others had gathered, and what I could glean from the mood and tone of voice. Sometimes, I transcribed spoken dialogue and put it through a translator. Later, I finally figured out a way to extract the text files to glean a few more details.
