Jess wasn't even positive she'd see him. She knew November the second had to be a pretty damn hard day for him, too, maybe even harder than she could imagine, and she wouldn't have been surprised if he was awol for a few days after it as well. But the island was only so big, and there were a few things that people needed to do whether they were hiding out or not.
She wouldn't say she was staking out the door of the compound, even though she was keeping one eye on it. What she was actually doing was sitting at the edge of the Hub closest to the path, enjoying a drink and finally giving herself some downtime, even though it was impossible to keep that bright smile off her face.
Sooner or later, she figured, John Winchester was going to show up at one or the other. If not today, then soon enough.
