Daeron is feeling a little concerned today, wondering if maybe that was a bad idea. One does remember that certain inconvenient Feanorians are alive, and said Feanorians tend to be...bad about the whole anger management thing. As well as protective. And while usually attempting to make himself scarce would be just fine, he does have to take care of ( Read more... )

Well. Here's a Galadriel.

She is not pleased with you, Daeron, but she had the good taste to wait to calm down before she went to look for you - and well. She is a bit worried about what might happen if Pityo or Telvo gets to you first.

So she'll be slipping in the chair across from you, looking very serious.

"We need to talk."

Yeah, that could be bad.

He looks up, carefully expressionless, and listening. We'll see what she has to say. And then deal with it. Inconvenient Finweans. Was doing so well without them.

"Go ahead."

"I had no quarrel with you until now. I even thought there were chances to be given - as they were given to my cousins, they would be given to you. But Daeron, you are in over your head."

It's just a start. She has a lot to say.

Tell me more, Dr. Science.

Doesn't say that. "I'm listening." Not quite dry, but definitely a bit more tart than he would have been yesterday. "Though I will say how I don't see how you of all people can defend him, all things considered."

"I speak from knowledge that you do not have."

If it's alright, the typist is going to handwave - because. Galadriel will tell him of everything she saw since she arrived, of her taming of Celegorm, how she hated him, how she saw him change, how he went to Morgoth in Finrod's place, and the nightmares, the hallucinations, his death at the clutches of the Gorthaur, and his regret, and how he pays everyday for his deeds.

How mysterious of you. How about a bit more cryptic?

"I see." A slight edge of ironic to his voice.

Galadriel leans back in her chair. "I was just as you were, when I arrived. Angry. Resentful. And rightfully so."

"And you have changed your mind?"

"It took a long while, but in time, yes, I did." She leans a little. "In our first meetings, I was harsh as you are, and it took me some time to understand that there was genuine regret in his heart - even if he would not say it."

He doesn't say any of the several things his first impulse is to, still listening, face largely expressionless.

"Many things happened, that allowed me to get to know Celegorm quite well - but one particular event showed me who he truly was... and how much he wanted to atone." She pauses, then. "I suppose you know that the Ennemy is here."

"I had heard, yes." With the usual tone of utter loathing.

"And so you know perhaps that Tyelkormo was taken by the Ennemy - but do you know how ?"

"...I'd heard something about that." Slightly carefully.

"Morgoth was not aiming to take a son of Faenor. He was seeking to take Findarato, instead. Tyelkormo took his place, at the last minute."

Blink. And a very slight frown. "Oh?"
