An Idea
I have been working on an idea for a new weekly post. Since Canadian literature is of such interst to me, I thought it may be fun to share with you (my readers) some Canadian literature that relates to the weekly subjects we discuss in class. For instance, last week we looked at English love poetry, well I thought perhaps I could post some Canadian love poetry as a basis for both comparision, as well as, discovery and enjoyment. I am going to title these posts, "Canadian Content," as a homage to my days studying radio broadcasting. If anyone is familiar with broadcasting, they will know about the Canadian Content rules that irritate both program directors and record executives alike. Unlike Canadian music, the poetry of this country has a lot to offer, so I don't think a little Canadian artistic infusion could possibly hurt this poetry course. What are your thoughts on all this? Could this possibly be of any interest to you?
