home is pretty killer so far.
today i slept late, got a good start on jeffs christmas present [ many thanks to anne ], went to the PCAC to pick up my portfolio. i aced it, and lindy wrote a little note that said everything i'd done all semester was wonderful. it felt really really good; i only wish that she had been there so i could have said thank you and goodbye and whathaveyou. nevertheless i'm sure i'll see her around next semester. at least, i really hope so. then there was dinner at home, and i went to the christmas concert at the middle school. they sang carol of the bells, and it was stellar. the band was pretty sweet, too, and i got to sit with dan and doug and cory baldwin. she is a dear girl.
then ben gordon and i went to the staff party at karey and rogers house, and it was pretty cool too. it felt like one of those parties that my parents used to take me to when i was younger, where all of the adults would go into one room and drink and talk and have fun while all of the kids just sat around awkwardly in another room. however, ben gordon was there, so that solved all problems. him, his galfriend, ian and i hung out right next to the food [ which was amazing because karey and roger are rich beyond imagination ]. we talked, and all was cool, then we ended up talking to the older people for a while too, and that was wicked chill, as always. then i bailed out to come home and just hang out and get nothing accomplished.
vacation is already vacationy. tonight at six i have my french exam, but other than that, today holds nothing more than showing matt and doug the ropeswing.
also, ricker had a genius idea! when i do find a dinghy, we should totally get someone else to have one out on the water at the same time, and have wars. we could load up on water guns and water balloons and go at it all day. that would be tons o' fun.
