so this weekend flew by pretty quickly, and i am somewhat glad.
i am so fucking stupid to have spent so much time at home this semester.
i dont get that amazing feel i'm supposed to be getting when i see people i miss.
fortunately whenever i'm home i only see a handful of people, so when i see others, i am still excited. nevertheless, i've spent pretty much every weekend or part of every weekend at home for the past month and a half. i am pissed. next semester, i am going to make sure that scott and i prevent each other from going home so much. its taking away from the college experience.
but anyway, other than my being in a constantly infuriated mood this weekend, it was alright. i got to see rachael and guy and people that i dont usually see, and joanna and liz were up, so thats always fun. ping pong and nes was played, and liz was really emo about not getting in contact with her friend in manchester, and about her mom taking her cellphone and whatnot. i felt bad for her. then joanna was all emo because i was talking about brynn, and so on, and soforth. then they left, just as quickly as they'd come. it was kind of a sad weekend, but i'm really really glad to be back at school.
however, there were good moments. today greg and the girls and i went to me and ollies to get bread and hot chocolate, and it was stellar. then we went over to the theater and i talked to ben gordon and judi and ryan and everything was excellent, as per usual. the staff party is on thursday. despite the fact that i'll be home for a month, i'm excited for this gathering. it should be interesting.
plus, all month other people will be home.
we can play ddr! i can see cassandra, and others! teachers! weee!
today when i got back to durham everything was chill too. i ate dinner with abbie, then i lectored at mass, and we sang some cool new songs. everyone seemed full of holiday cheer. i was totally digging it. plus, alex showed up to church all on her own, and that made me really happy. after mass i ate a second dinner with abbie, hijacked a country fried steak in my monstrous coat, and bought some cheesecake [ all of which i brought back to christensen with me ]. we sat around for the rest of the night writing our papers for english class. i took an intermission from the paper before i really started by watching "snow," with tom cavanagh, on the abc family channel. i can safely say that it was one of the most obscenely stupid things i've ever seen in my life. they should not have allowed it to air on cable television. regardless of this, it was tom cavanagh, so i watched it and actually enjoyed it, too. all while acknowledging how horrible and how stupid it was, but still. its tom cavanagh! you cant help but love the boyish charm of edward jeremy stevens.
then, there was much pie eating, and paper writing.
then talking to people, and more eating and writing.
then talking to brynn. shes coming over later tonight, after her last exam, to hang out. it should be pretty sweet. she wants to see my drawings. it'd be cool if she brought some of her poetry, too. she mentioned that she wrote some the other day.
hmm.
for now, i have to write a review of little shop for the talon, then i have to get some sleep so i can finish my paper later on, then run to hamilton smith to deliver it.
indeed.
