I love you, softly spoken and rhyming with nothing but the tap- tap-trapping sound of rain on the roof (where I go walking, skipping air under my skin to blow up and away). Picked up a brush and painted you fresh earth colours, rich purple and sudden orange (paint in my hair and on my tongue until you tasted the right shade), picked the grass out ( Read more... )

dense with metaphors and meaning,
your words have a rhythm that's comforting
a rhythm that never fails.

I can't outrun these metaphors, so I pack them in tightly around my bones and watch them seep into everything

(because it's easier to see something in relation to something else, because everything comes back to bones, or water, or birds, or distance)

you have made me incoherent. various feelings and exclamations rushing crowding tripping.

i'll try.

it makes me feel beautiful because the love is beautiful. it makes me feel lonely because the love is beautiful and my love has just ended.

oh colours. kaleidoscope. i am spun by the richness. sensuous words.

and two birds at the ending and hands apart together soars it all up up like my heart shooting from my chest in a blazing arc.

my love is entirely unrequited, so I'll join you in lonely (if only for a little while (I hope (I hope I hope)))

Your post with all of the colours made my fingers numb,
writing each one down in my notebook because they have to mean something, and it feels safe and beautiful to know all of these words for different things.

"you don't need to drive, you can catch my breath instead"

That's really clever, I love it.

hahah, thanks
I was impressed with my own cleverness, and then it kind of made me cringe - which is actually what it was supposed to do, so I guess I got it right.

your words. there is no word for them.

my personal favourite for them is 'convoluted', with 'ridiculous' coming in at a close second

Thank you, oolie.
