Lalla doesn't sit at the front of the class, or the back; she's two rows back and three seats in from the right. A brief and disinterested scan of the room doesn't bring up much she considers worth noting, although later she'll file some of those things anyway...it's funny what you can become desensitized to, and funnier how much of it you can find in college students.

Or depressing. Lalla prefers not to dwell.

This is her first class with this particular instructor; it's always interesting to encounter new people. She sorts her things out and half-smiles distantly when the girl next to her tries for conversation while they wait.
