I have heard that today is the first day of spring? And there is not celebration? I find it very odd. There have been many festivals in the past here, for strange things such as Christmas and Valentine Day.

Is the First of Spring not one of them?

spring is here, no more shoes!, puppy is curious

Tell me about it! Those days were fine and dandy, but celebrating Spring would be nice too.

[His language does not have this 'dandy' word!]

It really would. Even something very simple would be pleasant.

Maybe we could all have a picnic or something. It wouldn't really be a festival, but then we could enjoy the spring weather together.

A picnic? What is that again?

Though as long as one can enjoy the weather, it must be a good thing.

It's when you go outside with other people and bring food. I guess it's kind of like a small party, but you do it outside and spread out a blanket or something on the ground so everyone can sit together and eat.

I have seen that several times, it is called a picnic?

Perhaps it is something that can be done.

I'm pretty sure that's what most people call it.

Yeah, I think it could be! It's really simple to do; all we need is food and people.
