[Anyone watching the journals today will suddenly be treated to a rather nausea-inducing blur of green and blue, accompanied by a yelp as the journal's owner makes an unexpected and undignified descent... out of a tree

[And now he's turning around slightly, craning his head over his shoulder and-- oh. Yeah, he's pretty sure he didn't have those before. He'll just tug on one experimentally to find out if... yep, it's attached.]
They usually say that when you grow wings and start hearing voices, that means you're dead.

[Vincent has been idly flipping through the journal for signs of new arrivals when that single complaint sounds from the pages. Yet even that small sound is enough, from a voice he hasn't heard in years, but one he can't forget. He sits upright, eyes wide with unusual fear as he watches the video on the page.
Of all people, why? Why him?!
Vincent covers his face with a hand, barely remembering to ensure his own journal hasn't started transmitting. Jack Vessalius has arrived in Luceti. Vincent knows he can't keep him away from Gilbert, or more likely, the opposite. He grasps for his pair of scissors, gripping the handle tight enough to make his knuckles white. Yet there's no time, even for that diversion. He has to act now, before Gil or Oz notices.
A smile then, gentle and sweet. This is for Gil's sake, for brother's precious happiness. Vincent aims the book carefully away from his eyes, as if he doesn't yet understand how the book works. He activates the voice function, but still questions to maintain the facade.]Is

[Another voice? Jack is certainly no stranger to the concept of disembodied voices by now, but it's still a little jarring when he has no idea what is going on-- most especially, why he's suddenly corporeal again and why Oz is nowhere to be found. Not that this voice would know anything about that, of course. But it might be able to tell him more about this situation, so...]
Ahaha... did I really hit my head that hard? I'm starting to hear voices that aren't there.

[Of course. Jack plays the clueless card so well, and Vincent struggles to maintain the innocence of Ada's smile. He manaages a short laugh, then shakes "her" head.]
No, not at all! Do you see a book nearby? It's strange, but I'm speaking to you from that. Can you believe it?
[There's rustling for a few moments as Jack searches around in the underbrush for the journal; at last, locating it, he picks it up and sees "Ada"'s face in it.]
And such a lovely book as well! Do you have a name, Miss Book? Or shall I just call you that?
[...not quite the answer she was expecting, but she can roll with it. Nami grins.] You're not dead. Though I might consider changing that if you damaged my tree.
[Yes, she's kidding. For now. She'll offer a hand to help him up.]

[Did you know that Leo has been sitting at the same spot where Elliot had reappeared after his last kidnapping, Jack? It's that shady spot between C4 and C5, surrounded by the forest and maybe, just maybe he's hoping that Elliot will reappear there. So he sits, with two books, leaning against a tree-- or at least, he was.
He starts at that crash, and Jack might have heard an "Elliot?!" before it's clear that despite the whole blond thing, he isn't Elliot Nightray. Oh.
So whenever Jack cares to glance up after his pinching antics, he'll be greeted by a rather perplexed expression. Leo wasn't aware that this spot was so popular.]

[And glance up Jack will once he feels those eyes on him. There's a fleeting glimpse of something that might be recognition in his eyes before he quickly hides it behind a smile. That hairstyle alone is proof this boy isn't a threat, at least not yet.]
[ACTION ALL THE WAY]ishisfriendSeptember 27 2011, 16:44:08 UTC
[.....yep, he's all right. He'll turn back to his book in a moment because you're not important, and those watercolours of Jack Vessalius, Hero, in the books back home don't do your actual looks much justice. But for now--]
[ACTION ALL THE WAY]of_sablierSeptember 27 2011, 16:56:30 UTC
As all right as someone who is in heaven can be, I think!
[He very much doubts that Leo doesn't recognize him - there's no way he doesn't - but if the other isn't going to make a big deal over who he is, all the better.]

Nami won't let him know his journal is open. But she will loom over him a few moments later and blot out the sun. New Feather pants, huh.]

[... okay yes definitely staying on her good side, he wants more mikan. And she's pretty, too, which is a bonus!
Don't mind him taking that hand and standing... and then immediately raising it up as if he's going to kiss the back of it.]

You all right over there, neighbour?

I think so, aside from the hearing voices part. At least they're all very kind voices!

You're not hearing voices neighbour. There should be a journal nearby.
