Does anyone know what's going on with the Water-type pokémon?

My Politoed keep croaking at the top of his lungs, my Feebas evolved into a Milotic and is now hiding under my bed, and my Luvdisc keeps trying to jump out the window.

Is this some sort of bizarre mating season?

How do I make this stop?

I don't have any water-type Pokemon, so I had no idea any of this was going on.

Where are you anyway, France? I've just arrived in Goldenrod.

Jeanne is just standing under one of the shop's overhanging for shelter from the rain, open umbrella still in her hand. Poor Noël is hissing at the rain as Jeanne holds him close to her with her other hand.]

[Jeanne enters the hotel, takes the elevator, and walks down the hallway until she reaches France's room. Her umbrella is now folded, but she continues to hold Noël safely in her free arm.

When she enters, Noël suddenly jumps out of her grasp and hisses at the Luvdisc.]

[France starts to get up when he notices Jeanne entering, but he instinctively jumps to catch Étienne when Noël starts hissing. He has to dig his heels in to stop Étienne from dragging him around.]

Jeanne! It's so nice to finally meet -

[Étienne jerks him and France grunts -]

[Noël lets out a little yip when Jeanne scoops him back up. She smiles a little.

The same to you, France. Although I wish it was under better conditions than this.

[Things would have been so much smoother, plus she would have been able to tell France the news much faster...]

[France grimaces, struggling to keep his hold on Étienne. For a heart-shaped... fish(?), he's pretty strong.]

[Noël sees a tail coming from under the bed, so being the aggressive little bugger he was, he jumps out of Jeanne's arms-again-to go growl at the poor Milotic.]

N-Noël! Leave it alone! [She sends France an apologetic look.]

I'm so sorry about him. He's usually not like this when he meets new Pokemon.

[Cecilia the Milotic just moans, but Étienne is most decidedly not happy about his sibling being threatened and drags France in between her and Noël.]

[He digs his heels in again.]

[Noël's six tails are swishing back and forth. He's not loosening up at all, but he does stop the growling and hissing.]

... [And now, Jeanne can't even look at France anymore. Her eyes have gone downcast.]

Napoléon is no longer here.

[France lets go of Étienne in surprise, his brow furrowing.]

Did he disappear?

[Étienne goes to defend Cecelia, even though he can't stay in one place. He doesn't attack Noël, but he's clearly not going to back down.

[She nods her head solemnly.]

I woke up one morning and he was gone. His Meowth has been under my care ever since. I think we were still in Violet when this happened.

[Noël takes a seat on the floor, but his tails continue to swish. He just watches Étienne and Cecelia carefully without any aggressive move.]

But I've heard that people tend to reappear, so perhaps he will come back to us one day. [She doesn't want the mood going completely downhill now does she?]
