[Nice hot drink? Is it coffee? He overheard that last bit as he was passing by, slowly, enjoying the sight of snow. He stops when he recognizes France though and offers a nod of recognition as well as a smile in greeting.]

I hope you realize how many people are going to take you up on that offer?

[France stuff his 'Gear back into his bag, waving cheerfully at Cooper. Coffee? Yeah, France can do that.]

That's alright. I have a lot of different hot drinks to go around; it's not like hot water is hard to come by.

Well, then have a seat at any table. How do you take your coffee? We just got a fresh shipment of cream, too.

[Coop's mood is brightening by the minute at this rate. He follows, wrapping his coat a bit tighter around himself.]

Black, please. Cream was never really up my alley.

[France pushes open the door to the restaurant, taking a moment to kick the excess snow off his boots.]

Black coffee, denoting a no-nonsense man who knows what he wants.

[He grins, winking at Cooper.]

[Watch him look at you curiously as he follows suit, after quickly having glanced around for a table.]

Knowing what we want in life is in an important part of living it.

[France nods before disappearing into the kitchen and pouring coffee from the machine; good thing he made a new pot just before going outside and it's still hot and happy. He returns to the table with two mugs, sitting down with Cooper.]

Sometimes what we want isn't always the same as what we need, but it does keep us going.

[Cooper takes a mug and breathes in the aroma of the beverage, takes a sip, and lets out a content sigh.]

I'm glad; the beans were a bit different than what we usually get in, so I wasn't certain if I had been over-brewing them. There's nothing worse than burnt coffee.

There's one thing - the coffee they serve you on air planes.

[A bit of a grimace, but still with a smile.] It's nothing but coffee-scented water. It's truly horrible.

It's better when flying business or first class, but the stuff in coach... I don't know what modern airline service is thinking. It's like they all expect our taste buds to disappear upon boarding.

I've said it before and it bears repeat - what they do to coffee shouldn't happen to a dog.

[The last time he had such coffee is quite fresh in his mind. That plane ride had, on the whole, been a less-than-enjoyable experience.]

I'm grateful that there are still people who actually know how to make a decent brew.
