This is the worst-officiated game I've seen in a long time, and I watch La Liga. It doesn't help that Argentina aren't exactly playing like would-be champions right now. The playacting really needs to stop, for one. The defense is holding up nicely, Banega has been inspirational, and Di Maria was the best attacker on the pitch before he got hacked out of play, but -- Aguero? Maxi Moralez? No están aquí.

At 2-0 and with ten minutes left to play, I've started blocking out the jeers of the crowd and now I'm wondering if we'll be okay against the Czechs without Cahais and Yacob. Sanchez can play in the holding position, as can Escudero or Cabral, but Yacob has been pretty intrinsic to the stability of the midfield, so we'll seee how that works out. Voboril was a good stand-in for Cahais againt Panama, but that was Panama. Thank goodness the Czechs haven't exactly been an attacking masterclass, and they are also without an important midfielder (Janda), but I'm still nervous.

Lastly, I feel bad for Toselli, but at least he broke the record for non-concession (plus he's adorable). But his fullbacks were ghastly, and the tempers were rather alarming.

... I mean. If I were the Chilean manager, I'd want to murder that ref too.

argentina, wee-tinies
