european football cherry popped, oi!

How fucking good was Diogo tonight? Kept Ronaldinho silent, and scored the winning goal. The central defenders were fantastic as well, and Zapater and Pique both held their own. I was hoping to see Pablito, but he had to go and injure himself. THE SAME WEEK ZARAGOZA PLAYS TWICE IN THE CITY THAT I AM IN. Fucking hell, that man has awful timing. Now I'm not sure I even want to go to the Espanyol-Zaragoza game on Sunday cos he won't be there, although if I can get good seats for a cheap price, I might do it anyway, since it should be a good encounter, and I'm dying for more stadium action. RAGE WOE

Camp Nou, even though it belongs to the devil, is still a pretty fantastic stadium. Pictures, and a better account of the game, can be found here.

ps. I'm jumping the gun a little, but if Masche plays successfully for Liverpool I think I will die from happiness. Still, he's got three things working against him: his non-record with West Ham, the language/culture barrier (although it might be easier with Paletta there as well), and the fact that he'll have to displace Momo. Also, I have no clue who the two new Spanish boys are; I studiously ignore everything related to Depor, and the Malaga boy sounds like an absolute newborn. Still, I guess we'll see.

pps. CAN WE GET THIS FUCKING INVESTMENT THING SORTED ALREADY. >:I

liverpool, la liga
