So, I got this thing, posted once, forgot to do it again, and then ran off to Italy. But I'm back in Bremen now and have plenty of time to talk to myself.
I had a dream last night that there was a large moth at the corner of my mouth and I couldn't get it off. I also couldn't close my mouth because the moth had crawled part of the way in. I kept batting at it, but it wasn't working very well. Then a game-show type announcer voice informed me that the moth had a degree in pharmacology. Then the voice moved on the the next contestant, whose hobby was sweaty palms. But not really. His hobby was actually sending his children to camps for strange disorders they didn't actually have (such as sweaty palms). The announcer voice then assured the audience that the contestant had been checked by psychiatrists and found to be mentally stable. And that's all I remember.
In real life today I was standing in the Marktplatz with a friend, waiting for a tour of the Rathaus (Town Hall), when we were approached by a man trying to win tickets to a Werder Bremen football (soccer) game from a radio station. We agreed to help him. We were planning on waiting for the rest of our group, but only one other person showed up by showtime. The three of us, plus a group of other random people, ended up jumping up and down yelling "Humba!" over and over again. The guy won, having gotten a large enough number of people to embarass themselves in public. That was my good deed for the week.
In short, real life is still not quite as weird as my dreams, but it certainly deserves kudos for trying. You'll get there someday, real life.
