Something I've never done before was email a company and tell them I will boycott them. Hell I'm gay and I never boycotted Carl's Jr. when I was suppose to. Anyway, I just emailed a letter to the station who produces Movin' 39.9 which replaced KZLA. I'd hope that others who are dismayed by this inappropriate format change will send thier boycott letters as well.
To whom it may concern,
I just want you to know that I feel the transition you made to your new format was unacceptable. At this time I feel that I need to let you know that I am not in your demographic and I will inform all of my friends who are in your demographic to not listen to your radio station. I have been a loyal KZLA listener for 8-10 years, I am happy that I at least live in the suburbs of Los Angeles so I can still hear KFRG, who will receive all of my attention.
What you've done is basically say that Country Western listeners mean nothing in Los Angeles. Thank you for directing me to other radio stations who care about thier listeners and employees more than you. At least when the AM radio station the Fabulous 690 changed formats, they prepared their listeners for 3 months. But to play a country song at 10:18 am and segue into the Black Eyed Peas, was in my opinion a low blow.
Bring KZLA back,
