Notes: Written for
mawgy for the 2014 Ardor in August fiction exchange. Prompt included: “a retelling of a well-known story with Erestor and Glorfindel in it. It can be fairy tales or a story of legend.” Thanks to my friend Min for taking time from her hectic schedule to proof this tale. If you look closely, you’ll see a little nod to Doctor Who in the text. (And for the record, I called Glorfindel a lion long before I saw Game of Thrones.)
A retelling and adaptation of the legend of Venus and Adonis. Set in the First Age around the Fall of Gondolin, and spanning into the Fourth Age.
Summary: Erestor loved Glorfindel at first sight. Glorfindel loved Erestor in both his lives. A story of love found, lost, and found again.
