Kundalini - anybody experienced? (public x-post from newage)
Hello! I am popping in to look for more people who have experienced a full or partial kundalini awakening, or have otherwise strongly experienced kundalini especially in combination with other bodily energies (e.g. called "chi" or "prana"). I have an intellectual suspicion that slightly more and more people will be experiencing this kind of thing as mystical/spiritual teachings spread, which seem largely embraced by the New Age movement.
If not yourself, if you if have resource recommendations or know of other individuals on LJ or elsewhere, that would be gratefully appreciated.
My experiences prompting this:
Due to near-constant awareness practices of body and mind, as well as some meditation, dahn yoga, spiritual friends, qi gong, breathwork, massaging, reiki, and dreamwork... stuff is waking up. Primary teachings currently are from Tolle, Almaas, and Hawkins. Specifically, I seem to experience a very old heart chakra blockage, and as of last night something strange is going on with my crown and brain that isn't physically explainable as I've been taught there are no sensory nerves in the brain. (Pressure came down through my skull like a rod to the center of my skull and made the center and right half of my brain feel buzzing or hot. Now it's faded and just feels like the right side of my brain is woken up, and my nervous system feels overcharged like it's adjusting to a greater volume of raw sensation and perception.) Last night I had my closest spiritually connected friend over after his three months abroad, and the energetic exchange and meditation experiences we had were amazing. We're both waking up in different ways in which we're strongest (me in body, him in heart).
I'll also note some stats:
I give my mind-body no drugs except alcohol very rarely. Body's 21 years old, male, and bisexual. I first started serious psychological self-awareness seven years ago (Myers Briggs, Maslow), initial spiritual awareness five years ago (Enneagram, Eastern spiritualities), and in the past two years a dramatic and self-reinforcing acceleration of certain spiritual and mind-body-energy awareness capacities (Tolle, Hawkins, Almaas, Art of Living organization, various mystics).
If you'd like to friend me for some other reason, or simply if this is interesting, I'd imagine I would benefit and reciprocate. I'm looking for more people who are aligned with this kind of work in general, especially if you happen to have a very open heart chakra. ;-)
