The Last Days of Summer - The Weasley Siblings

I've been talking about this picture for a while now and I can honestly say that I've spent hours and hours and hours drawing, re-drawing, inking and colouring it (the latter one twice, actually). Anyway, summer has gone; winter not yet started and I finally finished it. I hope you enjoy it :)

It's 43 degrees out and I think my monitor just steamed up and wow and whoa.

And it is just not right that your Percy is such the hotness. Whoa. Okay? I say it again: whoa.

That's incredibly nice of you to say and means quite a lot since I've worked so bloody long and hard on this picture. I'm very, *very* glad you enjoy it. That's a great part of what makes drawing (and sharing) ones picture worth it *hugs*

Your artwork is beautiful. I love the emotion you put in the faces. Bill looks serene. The twins look mischievous. Percy looks pensive. Ginny looks like she's also mischievous.

But what kills and inspires me is your colouring. I love the technique you use to shade. It makes me happy to know you take hours, because if you did it in five minutes, I'd just have to go in my closet and bang my head. Knowing it takes hours inspires me to try to learn from your example!

You're intent on myking me blush, aren't you? Seriously, I'm sitting here feeling all warm and fuzzy and my ego is practically bursting. You know very well that your own art is quite formidable and that this is part of why I'm so very pleased to know that you like my stuff.

Anyway, about my colouring technique - miints made a colouring tutorial which sort of taught me how to colour. Unfortunately, I can't find it right now but I'll give you the link as soon as I find it :)

I admit next to Percy the twins are my favourite Weasleys as well. There's just something about a man who isn't afraid to laugh about himself that's incredibly sexy.

I'm very glad that you like the picture. By the way, the long-haired twins were inspired by inell ;)

can i have your charlie? please please please? i'd take the twins too...haha! this pic is so well done, as all your other pieces always are! hoping you'll do a fall picture with the nice boys in turtlenecks and sweaters because that's almost as sexy as no shirts ;-) but yeah...so yummy!

haha oh the things that are necessary to get us through the day! though i must admit that I'm only recently getting into coffee and i've had this screen name for far longer. It used to be the "non-coffee" frapps and way too much Dr. Pepper, though now i'm just afraid i've become addicted to everything Starbucks/Caribou has to offer!

and as for that plot bunny, couldn't you just imagine one of the weasley boys looking like a delicious beatnik with a short goatee to go with his turtleneck and cup of coffee? i'm not usually one for facial hair, but boy would that be yummy!

Oh, my 'addiction' started long ago back when my teachers insisted - quite rudely, I might add - that I must appaer in classes very *very* early (well, 8 o'clock is very early for me ;) ). The rest is history as they say.

Oh, hush you! I've already started on a similar Weasley panorama picture set in late autumn/early winter. Now I'm tihnking Charlie or - gasp! - even Percy with a stubble ;)

All I can say is JESUS CHRIST, can I have them? They're all absolutely amazing looking. No wonder Molly is happy to have this large a brood. I would be too if they were this talented and attractive.

You know, I've always wondered about that time when Harry said that the Weasleys are his favourite family but perhaps we're finally learning why he did so. Anyway, thank you very much for your kind and encouraging comment. I promise to keep drawing lots and lots of Weasleys (as if I could resist if I tried!) ;)
