he he now I'm wondering about colouring it again... His hair looks very soft and I love the hint of plaid, and the textures on his hat. (Yeah I know, I'm obsessed with that hat!)

Admittedly, the hat was so much fun to draw - especially those frayed edges. As for the plaid, wasn't it you who pointed out that they're based on squares when I drew them wrong in one of my drawble pictures? Because this thing with "do squares!" just stuck in my mind and I think it helped :)
