Busy as a Bee
I got up bright and early this morning and got right to work. By 9 a.m., I had already written 1,000 words for novel_in_90, done 15 minutes on the stationary bicycle and read my chapter for read_hp. Busy, busy. This afternoon, we did a little cooking. My mom and I got a half dozen ears of corn at the grocery store on Friday, so today we got steak to put on the grill. It was a yummy (and healthy) dinner.
After dinner, we watched the Miss Texas USA pageant, which was kind of embarrassing, especially the part where they talked about Laredo's fine restaurants, like Johnny Carino's. Um...that's a chain restaurant, which I suppose tells you what the dining is like there. In any case, Miss Fort Bend County won, beating out Miss Houston. Not too bad of a showing for our general area. However, the 70s theme was kind of scary.
Tomorrow, I need to work on cleaning up the loft, which is, as I have mentioned previously, a gigantic mess. At least I got my bedroom cleaned up today!
