We're safely in Tucson. I did all right on the flight, mainly since half the passengers were uniformed military personnel. You'd have to be pretty foolish to try anything! A limo took us to our hotel, the Loews Ventana Canyon resort, which is built right up against the Santa Catalina mountains. Our room is gorgeous, with a view up into the mountains. There's also a gigantic bathtub; I've literally seen smaller hot tubs.
We're traveling with three ladies from Alief ISD, so Judith (the head of Mindplay) took us to dinner here at the resort. We had prickly pear margaritas and the best guacamole ever, which they make, by hand, at your table. It was delicious. Tomorrow, I'm free during the day, so I'll probably go to the spa and possibly the pool, which is heated to 82 degrees. In the meantime, I'm going to try out the tub!
