Project Runway Thoughts

I actually got a surprising amount done today. I had to do a teleconference this morning, and it ended up being so boring that I completely resorted all of my books and put all of the new ones away. That's how boring it was. But the good news is that my bookshelves in the office look nice and tidy, and my books are (currently) all in one place, in perfect alphabetical order. My OCD is so pleased.

I watched tonight's Project Runway and am pleased to say that Tim Gunn had the same reaction to Daniel's terrible collection as I did - a sort of stunned silence. It really is rather terrible, the sort of clothes you'd find a middle-aged WASP woman wearing to her DAR meeting. As I said to my mother, if I were the wardrobe person for Gilmore Girls, I'd buy most of it for Emily Gilmore. That is exactly who I picture wearing it. For the most part, I like Chloe and Santino's collections, though I have to support Chloe because she's from Houston! What kind of H-Town pride would I have if I didn't? I must say that I did find Heidi's "surprise" to be cruel and unusual punishment for the poor designers, though I am interested in seeing what they cook up.

Hmm, I'm thinking I need to take a trip to Chloe's store here in Houston. It's literally only a block from some of my favorite Rice Village hangouts; I'm surprised I've never stopped in there before! For Houston people, it's Kirby at Times in the Village, two blocks from University Boulevard, where the Half-Price Books and Jamba Juice are.
