The Eyes Have It
I went to the eye doctor today, where, of course, they had to put drops in my eyes and dilate my pupils; an effect, I may note, which did not wear off until just recently, a mere eight hours after they were put in. The results of the visit were that my eye sight is getting worse, to which I say, duh, because that is the reason I went in the first place. In any case, it looks like I won't need to wear contacts on a regular basis, but I will be getting glasses for driving at night and watching television across the room. The trick is to find glasses that don't make me look exceedingly old or exceedingly odd. No small task, I'm afraid, which is why I may just have to wait until the weekend, when I have the time to go hunting.
I was going to write about Valentine's Day, and how if we celebrated the saint's day for each martyr with candy, we'd all weigh several tons, but I've gotten a rather nasty tension headache in my neck and the back of my head. In any case, I'm feeling rather desperate to get to sleep, so I'm going to sign off and hopefully accomplish evasive manuevers that will get me there as soon as humanly possible.
