hey there's a guiro here
just got back, I had the best night in a long time.
I went to an experimental music show/theatre and was looking forward to seeing sarah, who invited me to the show, and watch the show with her.
when i walked in, it was cool to see her doing some vocals with her friends. I didn't know she'd be a part of it. Her voice was just really beautiful and her dancing,
and I picked up a guiro, which was made from a wide piece of bamboo, and was playing along, scratching, really getting into it. the people were really welcoming there.
The guiro really cut through and mixed well, and i was tapping on the body of the tube in different places and getting some really warm knocks, tones. I also played the conga for the last part.
At the show I met Yarrow, who was from San Diego, by way of Massachusetts and she was playing a djembe looking thing.
At the end of the show, Sarah, Yarrow, Louis (who I met the weekend before), Adam and two other peoples whose names escape me but who are nontheless very rememberable, we all went to a diner and hung out for a while after,
just was so good to get to know some awesome people through playing music with them.
