Since I've had several people ask me this question already: yes, it's fine to mistake Ash for a girl. It happens to Ashes in the novel canon so it's valid because they look identical (duh). I also imagine Ash with a pretty androgynous voice, complementing his looks |D;

He doesn't mind people thinking he's a woman either, and if he feels like it he might even play along, just to be mean.
