For this year's election campaign, I'm going to be backing Francis the Demon, a character from a webcomic I read. I'm hoping if we can get enough support it will be a kind of way of protesting the absurd directions the executive and congressional branches have taken of late. Plus it'll be a laugh if we do get a few hundred people to vote for him and some newscaster somewhere goes "apparently .01% of the population voted for some demon named Francis". Unless a clear candidate emerges who I'm willing to support wholly I see no reason not to throw away my vote in protest.
