I asked my supervisor at work to write a recommendation for my JET application. This is what he returned.
Alex Pate: Man or Superman?
It’s hard to truly appreciate the vast scope of Alex’s talent. In part, this is because he has evolved beyond the need for sleep and, accordingly, can accomplish more than a mere mortal. Additionally, as Alex has developed the ability to coexist on 17 separate dimensions (a feat which was highlighted in his groundbreaking paper in Mays edition of Particle Physics Quarterly), he experiences a breadth and depth of reality which the human mind is not normally able to process.
However, to address the inquiry at hand, Alex’s competence in teaching English to non-native speakers, I will speak only in relation to those skills and qualities which are germane. First and foremost, it is important to note that the child molestation charges were dropped. The child in question was established to have been a adult suffering from extreme dwarfism. In all fairness, the dwarf cannot be blamed since she was being controlled by a neural implant as a sleeper agent for the Israeli Mossad. Another long story.
With that unpleasantness aside, I’m pleased to note that Alex is already fluent in 37 languages, 2 of which he developed himself, yesterday. God bless tequila. Additionally, his post-doctoral work in Semantics and Symbology make him an ideal candidate for communicating communication as a linguistic phenomenon and practical exchange methodology.
How could they not accept me after reading that?
Fiddle Sticks. And yes, that is what work is like.
