Сегодня у меня возник такой лингвистический типа вопрос. В новостях читаю:

Вопрос в следующем: правильно ли употреблять global economies во множественном числе? Понятное дело, что само слово economy легко употребляется во множ.числе, как open economies, national economies, Latin American economies и т.д. Но ведь глобальная экономика у нас пока одна, поэтому мое лингвистическое имхо, тут должно быть global economy.
Нашла подтверждение из словаря Encarta: global economy = economic system of the world: the interdependent economies of the world's nations, regarded as a single economic system (e.g. Decisions taken at the meeting were significant not only for the region but for the global economy).
