Myth: a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.
A bunch of people say they are myths - yet they have no explanation for how we got here - and either we (all six billion of us) are here, or this is the largest mass hallucination in the history of the people and world that are the subject of the hallucination. And that completely discounts things that people who came before us - millions of years ago - saw and heard.
Just because I haven't seen anyone split an atom doesn't make it a myth.
