Wulf has alot of weapons, and we have a young daughter, and I doubt I will ever ask him to give them up. He and I also have a deal that all large purchases are joint decisions and he won't buy anything that's not functional. That being said, he's really toned down his buying habits so the collection is probably not as large as yours. Um, basket hilt, scimitar, katana, tomahawk, ball club (not a blade but it counts), kendo stick (ditto), dirk, viking type sword, two large viking axes, pair of really nice hand axes, Roman sword, military saber, two handed bastard sword, rapier (mine), black powder rifle, and a normal rifle of some kind. I think I'm missing one or two blades, but that's about it.

I think when my daughter gets older we may install a padlock on the closet we'll be keeping most of them in but some will be displayed and Wulf always sleeps with the dirk under his bed. I think that it will be important to teach our daughter respect for blades and keep the really dangerous/sharp ones locked up. And for the record, I will have no issue with her being taught how to use them.

Well as far as purchases I make enough money to really buy what I want when I want (not new cars, but you know). christine isnt being a pain in the ass about it but she wants them secured. The firearms are (In MA you have to have them secured with trigger locks anyway) the axes and swords are not.

I dont use them all anymore there apart of my past but I -CAN- use them, and perhaps part of the reason im conflicted/posting this is I dont want to let go?

I dont know honestly, hasnt been the clearest day for me pyschologically. Anyway, thanks again for your continued attention to my journal its most appreciated.

If you have the money, then you should be able to afford a padlock. Keep 'em I say!! How else are you going to join my Wulf when he sacks Connecticut?

... hrm... we're gonna need a bigger boat.

you said: "... hrm... we're gonna need a bigger boat." thats really close to a quote from Roy Shneider as chief brody in Jaws, one of my favorite movies.

Yes I can afford a padlock, I just need a large closet to store them In I guess.
