So now I'm moved into college. Not organized or even completely unpacked, but moved. Tonight is my first night in the dorms! I think I'll like this dorm a lot. It's a pretty quiet one, and my floor only has 10 freshmen on it, so I'll have (hopefully) nice older people to make friends with and they can help me if I start to die. Which hopefully I won't. The only incredibly annoying thing is that pesky little hold on my registration...yeah. I suspected my doctor's office hadn't faxed the health forms like they said they would when I got them in the mail a couple days ago, so I brought them, figuring that would be ahold, I'd go turn them in, bye-bye hold. Not so much. They left 2 test results off of it. So I called and the office was closed for lunch. Called back, got a receptionist who said they would probably get around to sending the stuff by the end of the day and no she couldn't look it up, a nurse needed to, yadayada. So then my mom got pissed and went into "wrestle 'em" mode, called back, and still didn't ge anywhere. So I called back at srudent health a little before they closed to see if it had come yet. Yup, they got it, but with only one of the two test results I needed. Called my doctor again, and they said they didn't have that test. But they sent me to get bloodwork done. No, but we didn't have them do that specific test. Idiots. So I have to pay $15 to get a blood test early tomorrow morning so I can register and get hings like my ID that has my dorm access on it and my password to all things computer. Also things like my advising appointments and a course catalog. Annoying, no? Tomorrow should be ok though. I am taking a French placement test, which I hope they realize that people haven't practiced their languages all summer and are really better than they seem. Other than that, I know I'll have group advising sometime and have to find a place for my dad to take me to buy some food for my room. Yay food. And I'm getting up early to go to breakfast with my dad at the bed and breakfast he's staying at which is really yummy, so I'm going to head off to bed. I'm 'zausted after a long day of moving in. YAWN. Nightnight all.
