Can't quite believe it's that time of year again already but here we go...
Hello lovely Festividder! Thank you so much for making me a vid!
Once again, keeping this really short and simple, but if you're the kind of person who likes to know more detail about likes/dislikes etc. then check out the Dear Festividder tag on this journal as I used to ramble on a LOT in the old days. :p
But basically vid what makes you happy. Music-wise I'm totally open to anything (and I mean anything), I don't have any physical triggers, and there's nothing in any of these sources I'd rather you avoided.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (TV)
Oh, so many feelings about this show! I've seen hardly any vids for it so I'd honestly be happy with pretty much anything, but some ideas: something Rebecca-centric would be great, looking at her whole journey? Particularly her mental health (and how it's not an easy answer but an ongoing process)? Or something lighter, looking at her feelings about musicals/romance/her fantasy sequences? Or her friendship with Paula? Or all her friendships? Or something focused on all the main female characters? Or something fun playing with the musical numbers? Or anything else that comes to mind, really, go where your muse takes you vidder!
Derry Girls (TV)
Absolutely one of my favourite TV shows of the last couple of years, would be happy with anything to be honest! Give me the whole gang and all the highs and lows and joy and terror and friendship of their teens. I'm around the same generation as the Derry Girls so I'd really, really love a song choice from that era if you can manage it - something they'd listen to or be familiar with - but only a suggestion, no worries at all if you have a better idea!
Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers Movies
An old request I haven't dug out for a while but I recently did a marathon and all the old Feels came flooding back. Anything at all you can come up with would be lovely - fun, fast and flirty, or soft, floaty and fabulous. (Darn, ran out of Fs at the end there.)
Ghosts (TV 2019) [SAFETY]
So my lovable dorks have another new TV show and once again it is both hilarious and full of joy, love and warmth. <3 SO much love for all the ghosts but to my surprise I found myself loving Alison and Mike at the centre of all the madness the most. Anything you can do to capture that warmth and humour would be awesome!
The Muppet Show
I've been indulging in a lot of classic Jim Henson-era Muppet stuff recently and have returned to the conclusion, once again, that The Muppet Show was basically the perfect TV show. I always come back to that quote about the 'ideal blend of heartfelt sincerity and irreverent humour' (or whatever the exact quote is, can't find it or remember who said it now). Having tried to vid it myself though it's an absolute nightmare to vid, ha, so I'm just excited to see whatever at all you come up with! If you can capture either heartfelt sincerity OR irreverent chaos that would be amazing; if you can somehow combine both into one vid, I will basically worship you forever.
Only Connect (TV)
NO idea how you would even begin to vid this and I don't have favourite teams or series or anything, so just give me adorable nerds - and of course, Victoria herself, queen of adorable nerds.
Paddington (Movies)
Another one of my requests where I could just waffle on about joy and warmth and love and heart - gah, so full of HEART - but if you offered these movies you probably know all that. :p I cannot watch these movies without crying, so if you wanted to give me all of those feelings about found families and welcoming strangers in a vid that would absolutely fabulous. Alternatively, if you just wanted to vid Paddington giving people the Stare, that would also work for me. Fun and wacky comedy hijinks are also good! And if you offered the fandom because you wanted to vid Hugh Grant having the time of his life playing an Evil Queen, that works too. So basically anything, you can't go wrong with these movies.
You Rang M'Lord? The chance of anyone actually offering this is pretty miniscule, but screw it, I still love this show despite Su Pollard's best efforts to get me to stop loving her old work in hindsight (sigh), so in the remote chance anyone has: any kind of vid at all would make me ecstatically happy.
