Been dithering about it for ages, but this has been a weekend of making scary decisions - in the last 24 hours I've arranged to visit a fandom friend in the Netherlands in April, and have agreed to sing in a festival down south in May again - so hey, why not complete

Jagwriter's looking for a roomie at the moment - she posted on the forum: http://www.vidukon.co.uk/forum/conventions/vidukon-2015/48-the-roommate-thread - I'm not sure how often people are checking, so it'd probably be worth posting there and maybe getting in touch by email/LJ message too?

I'm rusty on the x-files (although I did watch the second movie last night) but I'm willing to try cheerleading a bit if it'd help?

Announcements are still going out about the con - the next one will be the programming schedule, I suspect (have you submitted your idea?) but I think there's also going to be some advertising of the fact that con people are around outside the official con timings and are generally sociable. You witnessed the post-con chillout dinner on Sunday last time, and people are generally around all day Friday (and the hardcore types are around Thursday, too - last year there were pub dinners with huge slabs of cheesecake, and a trip to Chiquitos) so if you fancy hanging out with a smaller group before the barrage of vids and emotions and handwaving starts, you'd be very welcome :) Everything's a bit vague at the moment, but I'm hoping to host Lithy and Doccy before and after the con again, beccatoria and me are both generally around, and there may be more if we haven't already scared them off. Getting together around the con has become such a regular thing that the general concensus is that we should actually kind of tell people we do that :P

Have I said "yaaaaaaay!" yet? ;)

That would be fabulous if you're willing! Rustiness is no problem, long as you're at least vaguely familiar with the show that would be really helpful. Need to get my brain in gear but I might send you a PM in the next couple of days if that's okay?

And that all sounds great! Not sure when I'll be getting to Cardiff - might be fairly late again if I drive, the flight times are just a nightmare - but lovely to know there'd be a welcome if I'm there earlier. :)

I skipped through the last coupel of seasons of the X-files, but I rewatched the first four or so seasons a couple of years ago, and I've seen the two movies fairly recently. I've also watched the Lone Gunmen, if any of the footage from that is included? I'm happy to help :)

I seem to remember you've got a seriously long drive up and down - do they still do sleeper trains at all? But you'd definitely be welcome if you want to arrive early/leave late. Everyone at the con is really nice, and I say that as someone who tends to hide in the corner most of the time ;)
