A friend of mine posted these questions on his LJ for his friends to answer. Now, in reading the questions I realize they aren't really mean for me, per se. But I'm bored and figured I'd answer them, for myself, anyway. Understand too, I KNOW these questions were NOT originally meant for me. My guess is they were meant for someone who is wiccan.
You say you are "blessed" and have a wonderful life. What do you think is blessing you? This is tough for me. I know I have a blessed and wonderful life, even though at times I don't feel it. I'm healthy (and getting healthier), I have a wonderful daughter who is healthy and happy, I have both parents who help me constantly in all ways that they can. I have fantastic friends who listen to me whine and again are there no matter what. I have a good job, a beautiful house, a great car. I have an ability to make music that enables me to speak without words. I have a joy in history and in people that makes it pleasureable to learn more and more about where I've come from. I have a SECOND family that I've known barely a decade. A beautiful sister. Another beautiful sister, a wonderful brother. I have another brother who I grew up with and who i don't always recognize as being wonderful. He lives in a wonderful area and luckily wants me and my daughter in his lfe. And I could go on and on. :)
How are objects (trees, the sun, the seasons, etc) worthy of worshipping? How do your beliefs enrich your life? This really doesn't pertain to me. So due to the fact I'm ignorant on this mind set, I will pass. :)
Why does the group you are a part of / identify with seem to thrive on- or at least invite- drama, usually over minor things? I think it's human nature to enjoy drama. I think for some people the drama is like a soap opera: really obvious, in your face, melodrama. I think for others it's more subtle: seemingly dull life, do nothing, talk to no one, etc. I think people who thrive on it have low self esteem and have a great need to be part of something whether or not it's bad. (this is from experience) Drama is a way of getting attention and even if it's bad, it's still attention.
What do like about journaling? It's a great way to communicate and organize thoughts.
Do you ever think that you are so different from the majority of people that something must be wrong with you?
(Trust me folks, I think this about myself too) I think everyone feels this way at some point. Even the "Popular" kids. :) I think it's all part of being a unique human being.
What do you like about your mate(s)? What was it about him or her that rang your bells? His kindness, gentleness. His laughter. his eyes. His smile. His patience... understanding... his unconditional love.
Why do you sometimes take offense at something I've done or said, when I have never meant anything I've done or said to be hurtful? I think this harkens back to the drama. :P
Do you ever think that, despite some success in your field, you are not as skilled in your profession as you think you are? Again, unless you're an arrogant, egotistical ass, EVERYONE feels this way. You can never learn too much and you can never stop learning. There is ALWAYS going to be more to know.
Why do people think that the world revolves around them being happy? Once more.. drama. Self esteem. Or they are just plalin spoiled.
