(no subject)
My bike and I just had a pavement party. Yeah. After one year, two months, and 24 days I finally had an accident with my bike. I'm completely unhurt (well, my ankles hurt, but compared to all of the other accidents I've had this is a miracle), but my bike is injured. Well, more injured than it was before:
pre-accident repairs needed:
-new bearings in crankshaft (which I have but haven't installed)
-new rear gear set
post-accident repairs needed:
-new bearings
-new rear gear set
-new wrap for rightside handlebar
-new right pedal
-new rear wheel
-also possible shifter and brake damage
My bike is ride-able, but only just barely. I'm gonna take it to shop so they can at least order parts. I feel really bad for my bike. It's been a great companion and I hurt it because I was reckless. I get paid Friday, so I'll have it back up and dodging potholes in no time!
Man, once the adrenaline wears off and the damages sink in I'm gonna really be hurting. hehe.
