Personality:
Namie Yagiri appears to the crowd as a self-confident and respectable woman. As a matter of fact, she's just that to a point. She's also very hard working and intelligent, which is how she got ahead in life and how she also became head of a Pharmaceutical company. Granted it was ran by her family but she didn't use her name to get ahead in the working station. She's very serious when her work is involved and she'll even go to extreme lengths to accomplish what she must. Even going into an inhumane type of work.
Regardless of her being looked upon as a well-respected woman in society, Namie isn't as she seems when it comes to terms of civilization. She knows her rights and her wrongs, don't get confused. She isn't a sociopath. Though some might think that with how she abducted foreigners who meant nothing to society or even people living on the street to experiment on them in the name of scientific enhancement. Even risking their lives to do such. She knew everything she was doing, but went through
with it anyway. That was until she was found out and forced to resign from her position as head of Yagiri Pharmaceuticals.
She also has a sharp tongue and can win almost every argument she comes into contact with. Unless she were arguing with Orihara Izaya. He seems to be her only match at wits and mind tricks. But in the long run, they tend to match each other quite perfectly. It also helps that Namie is one of the only people Izaya can trust, regardless of it being through business or not.
Being the respected figure she is, she can falter and show a much more womanly persona to her. The only chance of that happening though is if the person she came to love more than anything had come around. Her own brother. If you think she loves him entirely as a sibling, you'd be wrong. Nothing about her love towards her younger brother is platonic; her emotions exceed that of romance for Seiji. She'd do anything to make sure her brother was happy. And she means anything.
As a matter of fact, it was Seiji that taught her what it meant to 'love' someone in her eyes. Namie has come to believe that to love someone, you have to commit everything to them as well as becoming selfless and to make sure that the object of your utmost affection was happy no matter what. If someone tried to tell Namie otherwise, she'd ignore the other person's theory completely and give her own opinion and continue until she was the one who had been correct.
