(hee hee)
you know you're living on the road if...
*showering with a bar of soap and an actual bath towel are luxuries
*you forget to not wear your flip flops when showering in someone's house
*you get way too excited at the prospect of free laundry, rather than scrubbing your underwear in the sink at night and hanging it to dry on the edge of the bed
*you check
weather.com for three locations: home, wherever you actually are, and where you're going to be tomorrow/next week/etc
*the state of your growing-in hair is absolutely a non-issue (okay, maybe i'm just being stubborn and don't want to pay to have it buzzed! ;)
*walking twenty blocks on a regular basis and being stuck out in the cold rain are inconveniences, yes, but you're glad to do it, and it's never so awful as to put a damper on the whole day
*you wear the same exact outfit two or three days in a row, as long as it doesn't smell
that was fun, i'm sure i'll think of more as my journey progresses :)
tonight i was thinking of going to a jeff buckley tribute concert with lots of local oregon musicians, or checking out one of the new movies in the northwest film & video festival...or, i could just stay in (eh), in favor of saving my money for the upcoming girlyman shows. ack! what's a girl to do?
and hi, soooo glad that san francisco is forecasted to have no rain once i get there, while portland will continue to be nonstop wet. wheee!
