Lords of Chaos
Received the Lords of Chaos "Die Geschichte Der Okkulten Musik" 2-CD set yesterday. It focuses too much on LaVey and too little on black metal, especially considering it is the companion to the Lords of Chaos book on black metal. It's got some good bands, though: Venom, Mercyful Fate, Sodom, Hellhammer, Death SS, Bathory, Unleashed, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Emperor, Ulver, Thorns, Electric Hellfire Club.
Maple and MatLab suck. I wanted to test their more complex linear algebra routines (without paying $1000), so I checked the websites for trials. Well, how lucky is that, they both offer trial versions! Except Maple offers something they don't yet have and put you on a waiting list. MatLab offers it, after you call their rep. and sign up for a billion mailing lists. Screw you guys, I'll do it myself.
By the way, Decapitated is good music.
