Better late than never!

I hope everyone is having a relaxing holiday. I know I'm glad to have some time off to unwind. It's also great to see my family, though I wish my mom would stop trying to guilt me into eating all the treats in the house.

I'm kind of excited, I borrowed the first series/seasons of Downton Abbey and Rome from my Aunt, and have received the last ( Read more... )

I know what you mean, the "I'm going to d---OHHHH SHINY!" syndrome strikes again XD

I've been trying to beat Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon (otherwise known as "that game with the really effing long name") for 2 months now, but I keep getting distracted.

Last night I really, really, really meant to finish the forest maze... And ended up playing LIMBO instead ^^"""""""

On the bright side, LIMBO is an awesome game (assuming the player enjoys challenging games that require thinking and patience, its only real flaw is that it's very short, if you are good at solving puzzles you can beat it in little over 2 hours; but Steam had it on sale for $2,50 a while ago), so at least I enjoyed myself :)

Still, I've finally decided not to buy any new games until I'm done with the ones I already own. The current Steam sale has been tempting me a lot ("ohhhh, awesome game X for 5 dollars!"), but I've managed to resist and not buy anything. What's the point of getting a lot of awesome games if I don't play them because I keep getting distracted by other awesome games? It's better if I focus on stuff I already have.

Ah, Shin Megami Tensei. My only experience with the franchise is watching the OVA 'Shin Megami Tensei: Tōkyō Mokushiroku,' or 'Tokyo Revelations' (as it was called here). It was...interesting. From was I understand it has little to do with the franchise proper.

I hear you on the 'not buying new games' thing. I have a bunch I need to start/finish. I've given myself the deadline of March 6th, since that's when Mass Effect 3 comes out, though I don't know how realistic that really is.
