Aw yeah, snow!
Woo, another snow day! A day to waste playing Mass Effect 2 and eating junk food...sounds wonderful.
Speaking of Mass Effect 2, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I still suck a shooting games (takes me forever to aim), and I need to start upgrading the ship and crap or I think lots of people are going to die, but I'm having a blast. I just wish I didn't have this unfortunate habit of shooting Garrus. It's not entirely my fault, he looks like a bad guy at first glance! Besides, if he doesn't want his commander shooting him in the back of the head maybe he should stop running in front of her while she's painstakingly lining up a shot!
I was going to write a big long rant on Bioware's gender fail, at least when it comes to their marketing, but I'm losing steam already. I'll just mention how disappointed I am that the marketing for Dragon Age 2 in particular is so heavily geared towards males, and that they're sticking with using male Hawke in the promos despite Lady Hawke having, imho, a much cooler design. Come on Bioware, it's not like you'd be taking a real risk by putting Lady Hawke in your adverts. Dragon Age is an established franchise, the fans KNOW you can pick the gender of your character, you're not likely to scare away insecure males who don't want to play as a chick (and you really ought to stop catering to those neckbeards anyway). While I think Bioware deserves some props for at least TRYING to be more inclusive it does start to come off as a little insincere when they're not willing to consistently push for equality (don't get me started in the FAIL that was involved in not including a same sex love interest for male Shepard).
So basically...show a little backbone, Bioware.
