Laurel's been conditionally accepted into the district-level gifted program this fall. She has to catch up in math to beginning double-digit multiplication and more consistently carry numbers in addition and multiplication.
We've just begun single-digit multiplication at home, so I'm fairly confident we can do that. I feel that this where Saxon math will help her -- doing a problem set every day throughout the summer will help make the multiplication table indelible in her head. I've sent out feelers through Mom and Amy for recommendations from their respective schools and we'll get a tutor for when she's in Colorado if we need.
