1. Who was your best friend? I didn't have one.
2. Who did you like? Jason Dobbs. I doubt he had any idea who I was.
3. What sport did you play? I didn't play team sports.
4. Did you buy your lunch? I carried my lunch every day.
5. It's Friday night, where were you? At home, probably using some BBS or using telnet from my Colorado Freenet account. Sometimes I was out overnight at a Girl Scout activity.
6. Were you a party animal? No.
7. Ever skip school? No. The only time I ever ditched school was for one period my junior year of high school.
8. Ever smoke? No.
9. Did you go to football games? No.
10. Did you get suspended/expelled? No.
11. Can you sing the alma mater? We didn't have one, just the "Go... Fight... Rams!" cheer we did at pep rallies.
12. Who was your favorite teacher? Mr. Reese and Mrs. Tenney. He retired a few years later; Mrs. Tenney moved up to Evergreen High School when it went 9-12 and I think she retired a year or two ago. I'll ask Mom or Sarah about that later.
13. Favorite class? The Challenge block (social studies and language arts) or the home ec sampler course.
14. What was your school's full name? Evergreen Junior High School. It's a middle school now.
15. School mascot? Ram.
16. Did you go to the dances? No.
17. If you could go back and do it over, would you? No.
18. What do you remember most about middle school? Punching someone on the first day of seventh grade for calling me a racial slur and the Canterbury Tales unit in 9th grade language arts. Jim Fuchs brought in a bagpipe for the character he protrayed and it was so loud when he played the administration came in to see what was going on. I was the Yeoman and the only interesting things about that were that I made the long tunic and hat myself and spent some of my babysitting money on a St. Christopher medal for the costume.
19. Favorite memory of your 8th grade year? I have no idea.
20. Were you ever posted up on the 8th graders' wall? I doubt it. I did go to the state National Geographic Bee and got my photo and a mention in the Denver Post for it, though. (It's in the lifestyle section of 2 April 1993 paper if you're curious.)
21. Did you have a job your 8th grade year? Just babysitting.
22. Where did you go most often for lunch? The cafetorium. I sat with the religious kids first semester and the Challenge kids second semester.
23. What did you do after 8TH GRADE GRADUATION? We didn't have an 8th grade graduation, the school was grades 7-9 then and 9th graders had a Continuation event in the spring.
24. Did you like your 8th grade year? I guess. 9th grade sucked less and I met iconoplast that year.
