Another sign I need to get a day job and build a DVR: the Rachael Ray Show premiered today. I watched it all except for part of the interview segment with Diane Sawyer because post-nasal drip kicked my butt this morning. I plan to skip tomorrow's interview segment since I couldn't care less about Oprah. It's funny, RR's voice grates on my nerves ( ( Read more... )

EVIL about whom? Rachael Ray? Oprah? Ainsley Harriott?

*is confused*

I watch a lot of Food Network during the week -- my favorites are Everday Italian, Good Eats, Iron Chef America, Ace of Cakes, Sugar Rush, any Food Network Challenge involving cookies or cakes (my inner pastry chef wants to be let out more) -- and I miss Ainsley Harriott's US daytime show. I can still imitate his "Let's get ready to cook" dance. (:

I'm in the group who is driven insane by Rachel Ray.

For me, Alton Brown, Ham On The Street, Anthony Bourdain (now on the Travel Channel), and such.

Ah. I like her best at a low volume but her enthusiasm is something I'm working on developing myself. (Not that I want to be a cooking show host; enthusiasm will carry me a long way in Scouting.)

I keep getting distracted and wandering off when I watch Ham on the Street, but I like it.

I would have Anthony Bourdain's babies if the opportunity presented itself.

No problem! I couldn't remember if I'd given you my number but I had yours so I decided to go ahead and call you. (Score one for personal growth, I'm getting over my avoidance of using the phone!)

Rachael Ray makes watching cooking shoes w/ my mum tolerable. Her voice dun really bother (even if she is a bit too peppy/talkative imo) -- but she's totally hot.
