Finally, a presidential ticket that I can get behind!
This is a lot less funny if you don't watch Battlestar Galactica and read Television Without Pity.
In all seriousness, though, I'm leaning towards Hillary. Which puts me at odds with the many, many zealous Obama supporters at my school. I like Obama. If he gets the nomination, I'll vote for him. But I feel that Hillary is a lot more realistic about the way Washington actually works. Obama's idealism is inspiring, but, hardened cynic that I am, I think that idealism only gets you so far. Knowing how to manipulate the system to your advantage gets you the rest of the way. I think that in the long run Hillary Clinton has the knowledge and will to get things done. I'm not sure if Obama has proven himself yet in that respect.
Also, given my weird political amalgamation of liberalism and libertarianism, I have a weakness for centrists.
And if Hillary Clinton isn't our equivalent of Laura Roslin, I don't know who is.
In other news, I spoke to an editorial assistant for Dark Horse Comics today. We bonded over our love of The Goon, exchanged names and business cards, and then she assured me that if I apply to be an intern there this summer she will declare on my behalf: "This person is cool."
