This update might be in many parts, due to a) I'm at work, b) I'm only half awake and c)its tuesday (What? Thats as valid a reason as any).
Well, It would appear that I've been a bit lax in the updates post legoland. Apparently only one, if I could see it. Which would be my first problem. For some reason my work PC is determined to cause me issues.
We have shared PC's between shifts. So at least 3 other people use the same machine as me, and technical support updates and such like. Now, I don't know who's responsible for my loss of Firefox (which I much prefere as it's not as broken as IE, and also not as prone to pop up's, ad's, crap and falling over for no particular reason.) and my loss of a consistantly working MSN, which at the moment crashes on opening about 75% of the time. I think I might take these problems into hand later by digging out the generic admin id and re-installing Firefox, possibly a job for after 17:30 when Ed and Lesley have gone home.
Also, right now, my grandmother is not well, and although they only live at the end of the street, work and other commitments have ment that I haven't been able to go and visit them and I feel like I should make the effort to do so. As I'm not working on thursday and have no other outstanding tasks that would prevent me, I'm going to add it to thursdays "Important Things to Do" list.
On a happier note, the last weekend saw the wedding of
stuartmaher and Lisa. Where
kathbad, colin and I piled into my car and headed on to Dunstable. I can't say enough good things about their day. The weather was perfect. Lisa was "georgous" in a stunning dress, the bridesmaids looked beautiful. (I expect it'll be one of the only times that I see Karen in a dress with her hair and nails done all girlie for a while). The service was great, and by helping The Stroud film it, I got the best view in the church. The "Orders of Service" issue was handed by a dashingly handsom man, in a blue car with little reguard for the speed limits and with perfect timing. Earning me the title of "Hero of the Priory" from
stuartmaher. The service was wonderful, very personnal, including references to Pooh, and other things.
After the wedding, and this being an Irish wedding it was decided that drinking was in order, so a short 1 hour drive to the B&B to deposite the car, then to the pub. Here we met up with other wedding guests including
charlieginger and her B/F. A few hours drinking in the pub, then on to the evening reception.
Again much fun, go to see lots of other friends who I'd not had a chance to see at the wedding and got to meet a few people that I'd not had a chance to before then. Golden Apple's performance was great and added another memory of the evening.
I wish Stu and lisa all the happiness in the future, and good weather in the Bahama's, especially since its storm season.
And that was just Saturday. Sunday to follow...
