Short and sweet this week.
3.07 Fresh Blood
This episode was absolutely fantastic is so many ways. Probably the best so far this season. I had typed up lots of notes etc. but I've hit the big old delete button because, quite frankly, you should just go watch the episode again. And again. It's all there. Now, I don't really have much to say beyond, "Holy crap!"
I'm including this because I just worship and adore this scene. Basically, Sam gives Dean permission to let down the front he's putting on. Oh boys!!!! Oh Sara!!!!!
Dean: Sam, stay here.
Sam: What? Where y'going now?
Dean: I'm going after, Gordon.
Sam: What?
Dean: Yeah, you heard me.
Sam: Not alone, you're not.
Dean: Sam, I don't need you to sign me a permission slip, okay? He's after you not me and he's turbo charged. I want you to stay out of harm's way. I'll take care of it.
Sam: Well, Dean, you're not going by yourself, you're gonna get yourself killed.
Dean: Just another day at the office. It's a massively dangerous day at the office...
Sam: So, what, you're the guy with nothing to lose now, huh? Oh, wait, let me guess, because, it's because you're already dead, right?
Dean: If the shoe fits?
Sam: Y'know what man, I'm sick and tired of your stupid kamakazi trip.
Dean: Woah, woah, kamikaze? I'm more like a ninja.
Sam: That's not funny.
Dean: It's a little funny.
Sam: No, it's not.
Dean: What do you want me to do, Sam, huh? Sit around all day writing sad poems about how I'm going to die? You know what, I've got one. See, what rhymes with shut up, Sam?
Sam: Dude, drop the attitude, Dean. Quit turning everything into a punch line. And you know something else, stop trying to act like you're not afraid.
Dean: I'm not.
Sam: You're lying and you may as well drop it, 'cos I can see right through you.
Dean: You have no idea what you're talking about.
Sam: Yeah, I do. You're scared, Dean. You're scared because your year's running out and you're still going to hell and you're freaked.
Dean: And how do you know that?
Sam: Because I know you.
Dean: Really?
Sam: Yeah! Because I've been following you around my entire life. I mean, I've been looking up to you since I was four, Dean. Studying you, trying to be just like my big brother. So yeah, I know you, better than anyone else in the entire world. And this, is exactly how you act when you're terrified. And I can't blame you. Just ...
Dean: What?
Sam: It's just I wish you would drop the show and be my brother again. 'cos ... just 'cos.
Dean: Alright we'll hole up, cover our scent so he can't track us and wait the night out here.
Now you're done with that go read this
