I couldn't believe this...

So I was checking the Lists on McSweeneys, and I came across this one:

Look at number four. They're all hilarious, but that guy used two '7's to spells "leet," a word that is actually put into numbers as "l33t." How could he not make the connection that it is the 3 that looks similar to an 'e'?
