Last night I got to use a power drill that can drill through concrete with a one inch bit. I had to poke 6 holes in our office door for the shelf I was installing (installed today). I tell ya, for a guy with practically no carpentry skils, I managed to pull it off. It's not super shiny, but it's strong enough to do what we need it for. Nevertheless having that much power in your hand is invigorating. I guess I'm a man after-all, hehe.
Ok the snow needs to f'ing melt away so I can go shooting. I HATE snow in photographs. Its cliche is beyond explaination, it's just horrible. I want to shoot the lost, forgotten, dead, condemned, and generally not pretty things for my project. The idea is to contradict the work typically displayed in the 19th century Salon galleries back in the day...yet also highlighting the reasons why some of those galleries existed. People wanted to show work that woudn't be shown otherwise so they set up their own shows. I think it has a little bit to say about art history, and also about how it's repeaing itself.
Well, I've gotta write a paper for class on thrusday cause I know I'll have no time for it tomorrow. School suuucks! The idea that I'll be done for as long as I want to be is the most glorious thought of all.
