(no subject)
I'm seriously considering getting some of my own equipment for shooting my film. I used STAR's shotgun mic yesterday and damn it worked SO nicely that I really want my own now. I'm looking at one from B&H that's $150, and that's like the lowest priced one...after that they jump to $300+ which frankly I'll leave up to people who arn't doing just video. I think it's a pretty decent one...now having just looked into it further. Now I'm just debating with myself how much I'm really gonna use it in the future. In the last few months my interest in making motion pictures has skyrocketed because of A. getting a new video camera, B. being in this video production class, and C. meeting Becky with her intense interest as well. Shit, I'm even thinking heavily about getting a new MAC just so I can be a one man studio...fuckin'a everyone else I know has one.
It's SO fun and now that I've got a real, yet very small taste of what it's like to actually create a short film, I'm extremely fired up to do even more. Of course it's also be nice to have some real crew members as well. Who knows. I'm going to have to get working on making this short film a much longer one to go all out on for the future. I really like how the story is totally psycho, but it needs a wee bit more development.
Well that's my plan and if anyone knows anything about getting that or a better one for as much or not much more then lemme know. OR if you're willing to go in on it for part ownership of it, we can work something out.
